The Circle of (Fandom) Life
Dec. 17th, 2018 08:50 pm I got a message from one of my surviving Yahoo mailing lists fandoms (HP for Grownups), and it got me thinking. Once upon a time I followed people from usenet to message boards, then I followed mostly the same people to mailing lists, then back to message boards, then on to livejournal, then here to DW, then on to tumblr. And here we are back again.
What I find amusing is that I have spent over two decades following a small group of people, here, there, and everywhere. Sometimes I can pinpoint it exactly, that one I started following back on the BAPS mailing list , that one during the TWOP days, I remember that one from The Cousins War in usenet, then there are the ones I just kept running into and I am no longer sure, what is it during the SV days or during the Summer of Hate in the House fandom? And then there are the new ones from the Loki fandom in tumblr, which are the ones I am following back to DW.
